Tjm623
So while I was swapping my headlights to HID today, I set a tool down on engine cover, went to pick it up and thought the cover felt strange...touched it again and what do you know. It's FOAM! Anybody else notice this yet? I was expecting at least a plastic cover, but instead I was met with a material with the consistency to my kitchen sponge. Guess I won't be cleaning that ever . Can't imagine what would happen if it gets wet
omar302
On my 2011, it is also made from foam. I think it has to do with being sound absorbent/insulator.
Tjm623
That makes sense, I thought that they used to put the Foam underneath the plastic cover though?
2008explorer
What engine do you have with that foam engine cover ? My 2.0 Ecoboost has a hard plastic cover.
