Tjm623
Omar where are you located? I saw that one but its shipping from Estonia? How long did it take to arrive
omar302
I'm in Qatar, it took around 2 weeks to arrive. They sold so many that I was comfortable ordering from them.
Tjm623
Ok, I don't know why but shipping from Estonia made me second guess. Also saw this same tool being shipped from Italy, UK, and Poland. Wish someone here shipped them
Tjm623
So I was able to change some BCM stuff in HS-Can mode with my cheap wifi device I hacked apart via ForScan. The hack didn't work correctly and the wiring diagrams didn't help because I had a completely different board in mine. I want to buy another and try the fix again...anyone know or done this with a cheapo device and can confirm it has actual wires inside and not chipsets with pins? Just learning how to solder and much easier to take a wire off than a whole chip just to remove one pin. I'm getting close I can feel it...
Edge385
My apologies if considered hijacking this thread but a quick question. I would like to turn off the double honk when you exit a running vehicle with your key in your pocket. I've just ordered the ELM327 USB Omar suggested and have FORscan Lite on my phone. Where would be a good sourse of material to read up on turning off this piece of code? I'm a Cro-Magnon with newer vehicles so any help would be appreciated. Tjm623
You need to read up on forscan. Google and find their website. You can't do anything via forscan lite besides use it to track data from whatever modules and settings you select to record while driving. Or to read error codes. You need the computer software and the extended license
Edge385
Not a loss as I can make use of what its capable of. Started my reading on the forscan tonight also, thank-you for your help getting me pointed in the right direction.
Tjm623
No problem, like I said when you get to the point of programming PM me, I can give you the code and a few others for other options in the software
