Spree
I test drove a 2016 2.7L eco reserve. I couldn't tell a difference between that and the 3.7L I have in my 2013. I was just wondering what you guys thought of this year MKX? The reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking about buying a new reserve and was wondering about any problems you may have come across or maybe just the likes or dislikes? akirby
I find it hard to believe you couldn't tell a difference. Are you sure you drove a 2.7LT?
Spree
Yes, it was a 2.7L ecoboost. I'm not to concerned about the engine though, the 3.7 is fast enough.
James Costa
My 2016 Edge is pretty nice, I really like it ... not too much different than the MKX my mom had a while back, though newer.

Spree
I may have to test drive the 2.7 again, maybe I didn't keep my foot in it long enough. The sales women went with me and I didn't want to scare her too bad. How long does it take the turbo's to kick in? I didn't see a boost gage, I only had my foot in it for a second. I was wondering about everything else? Comfort, options, etc. What you liked about the 16 and what you didn't. What you all post here could have an impact on if I buy one or keep my 13.... The dealer I'm looking at has a (forever warranty) on the engine, transmission, transfer unit, rear end. Anything that has to do with the drive train, even the turbo's. akirby
I'd be wary of any warranty that promises lifetime coverage.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
"Lifetime" means lifetime of the warranty LOL!
WingNut
If you really want to feel the 2.7, shit to Sport mode (if the MKX has it) and you won't be able to NOT feel it.
Spree
If you really want to feel the 2.7, shit to Sport mode (if the MKX has it) and you won't be able to NOT feel it. I do have the Sport mode, only used it a couple times, it's kind of touchy on the take offs and the shifts are a lot harder and quite a bit faster, I call it race car mode. I can only assume it's suppose to feel like that?
