Lance Moss
Anyone know how i can remove the back panel of the front seats on my leather 2013 Ford Edge SEL? I pulled pretty hard on them but don't want to break them. Edit: Pull hard enough on the bottom :-) Edited June 15, 2016 by Lance Moss
enigma-2
On my 09, they pop out of fasteners near the bottom (grab at the side near the bottom), once it pops loose, slide down the back until it's about 1/3 way down and remove.
densmreg
Just did this on my '12 SEL . Driver's headrest won't stay up. I reclined the back forward as far as I could to get the headrest out and tug on the panel. I popped out the bottom edge of the panel; dropped it a few inches and voila! The plastic sleeves have 2 tabs on the bottom where I could feel them and squeezed enough for me to firmly pull up with the other hand. Yaye! The retainers were well distorted. I popped them out of both sleeves with a small screwdriver and opened the gap with my fingers reassembled/tested them on the headrest. Reassembled parts in the seat back. Works like a charm. Big saving of having to replace these parts. Thanks to you both here on this discussion. Short but the solution was sweet.
