t0lkman
Hi there my car is "Ford edge 2016 Titanium - White Platinum (UG)", I've noticed a small chip on the inner side of the driver door, but I can clearly see the color is different inside the doors it's not White Platinum (UG) for sure, it looks like it much less "pearlish". The driver sticker states "The exterior color code is UG and interior is PC" What is interior color code btw? Also how can I find exact color which Ford used on inner side? DRbillZ
Ask your, you know.... dealer?
akirby
The interior code is not paint, it's the color of the dash, seats, carpet, etc. White platinum is a 3 part paint - base, mid-coat and clear. The mid-coat is what gives it the pearlescence appearance and I don't think they apply the mid-coat to the door jambs, etc. - just the base coat. ONEDGE16
I would just take it back to the Dealer and ask them to Fix it under the paint warranty. the other option is to get the touch up paint from Ford, though it would not be an exact match for the Door Jambs. akirby
You can get the base coat touch up paint from paintscratch.com. Should match just fine without the mid-coat.
t0lkman
I don't want to bring it to the dealer and be without car for a day. The chip is super tiny, the only reason I care is it can get rusty if I won't fix it. Probably i shouldn't even care about the color, since it's inside the door just any white paint/lacquer should work
t0lkman
I've just bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0122B93ZC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
akirby
That will work. You probably only need the basecoat pen.

If the chip is white will not rust as it's still painted.
