Ashley Thomer
I have a 2015 Ford Edge Sport and every time I go through a car wash it leaks water in my drivers side starting at the headliner and goes all the way down and soaks the carpet. What is the deal with this? I have it at the dealership and they are replacing the windshield......the water is leaking in higher than that?? Any insight on this? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
What is the production date for your Edge? Check it out on https://www.etis.ford.comwith your VIN if you do not know. I think it was recall 15B21 that addresses leaks on the '15s. There's a thread on it somewhere ... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18423-post-15b21-leak-repair-follow-up-report/http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18110-water-leak-help/ Edited May 26, 2016 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W

WingNut
Do you have a vista roof? If the windshield is not sealed correctly, it can let water in.
Ashley Thomer
Do you have a vista roof? If the windshield is not sealed correctly, it can let water in. Yes I do have the vista roof. I had it in and they are telling me it is the windshield so they are replacing the windshield. But if it were the windshield why would by headliner on the drivers side get soaked?? I looked behind the headliner and it is all black and has mold on it. Then occasionally my vista roof will be shutting and then it gets almost closed and retracts back and won't close. I wonder if this issue goes hand in hand?

Not sure if water could make its way in to the headliner from the force of the car wash. If so, that could be your answer. But given the issue with the Vista Roof not closing it tells me you are on to something. The windshield is an easy fix. The vista roof is probably a more complex problem. So they are just taking the easy route right now hoping it solves the issue.
