2013EdgeSport
Hey all, just got my first Edge and I'm pretty new to "new" cars. Newest vehicle I've owned before this was a 2002, so this TPMS and electronic everything is all new to me. I just picked up a 2013 Edge Sport with 10k miles and am looking around for winter wheels to keep my 22's nice. I found some 20" factory wheels off a 2010 Taurus SHO that look like they would make a nice winter wheel. The hub bore is a hair larger than my Edge and bolt pattern lines up as well as offset from what I can tell. That being said it looks like they use the older band type TPMS sensors? Does this mean I can't use my TPMS or does it mean I just have to replace with a newer style sensor? By the way will the 2010 SHO wheels work on my Sport? From what I can see it looks like they will, but I just want to verify before committing to buying them because the offset and all the info I found was on the internet, so I don't trust it 100%. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Looks like they should fit http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/8406-20-taurus-sho-wheels/ Should be able to get OEM TPMS sensors off EBay for reasonable cost, but you do have to train them afterwards. Or if you are having a shop install the wheels, buy sensors from them, and let them install & train the sensors.
omar302
I remember reading that for best snow wheels, the smallest stock wheel size is always better, in case of the Edge, that would be 17" or 18". Just a thought.
Waldo
Agree with both of the above - yes they will fit but you'll need new TPMS sensors. But also agree that if you're going to get dedicated winter tires, you'd be better off with an 18in size.
