DRbillZ
Been reading on the PTU stuff and here's what I think I'm going to do: Change the PTU oil every 20,000 miles using a vacuum (Pella oil extractor) to get the oil out. Fill with with genuine Ford stuff. When my warranty is up I'll then add a drain plug so as not to give them a reason to void warranty. I may pull a sample out at 10 and 15k just to see what it looks like and adjust from there. Anyone object to that Edited May 10, 2016 by DRbillZ

Fill with with genuine Ford stuff. 20k may be a little excessive. Ford recommends 20k only if your off-roading on sand in a hot climate. 30k would probably be safe for normal driving. A senior mechanic at my local Ford garage told me 90k for normal driving (even though Lincoln does not have a recommendation for my 2009).
