Michelle777s
My 2008 Edge Limited was parked for 2 days. When I got in , before putting keys in the ignition I heard the CD player cycling. There were NO cd's in the player. The battery was too dead to start. When I closed the door the CD player cycled. When I opened the door it would cycle. After getting a jump, I noticed the clock had not reset, but had sped up by 2 hours. Anyone else have this sort of issue?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Haven't read about the clock issue, but definitely the CD skipping/playing issue causing battery to run down (or maybe vice versa). The fix is usually to replace the head unit. You can try cleaning the CD player, but probably won't fix the issue for any length of time. EDIT: More information found using the search function and keywords "cd battery dead". You might want to get the battery tested with a digital load tester to make sure it's still in good condition. enigma-2
Q. I know the CD player will load a CD with the engine off, will it eject one as well? Wondering if the CD is stuck and trying eject?
