protecting glossy center console

Ok I think we can all agree whoever spec'd the shiny, black center console should be shot, but is there a cover or replacement for it?

I have the 2011 Limited with the silver and when it gets too worn I thinking I'm going to go with a 3M product called Di-noc carbon fiber wrap.

They have just about every color or surface look (even chrome, gold) and if by chance it gets damaged, you pull it off and recover it. They have wood grains, solid colors, everything.

 

Check out youtube for people doing the entire outside of their vehicles, small dash parts, helmets, motorcycle parts. I saw where someone did their Edge grill in the carbon fiber. (and gloss black)
