Suresh Roopnarine
So I have no idea how to change the map lights bulbs in my 2016 Edge Sport. With all of my other cars before, all I had to do was pop off the cover. I can't pop the cover off of these lights. Same goes for the dome lights in back. Does anyone have any ideas, or have you been able to change the bubs and if so how?
omar302
I don't know how to change them or even if it is possibly as they are LEDs already. Check the owners manual & it states all interior lights are LED. I think the only regular (incandescent) bulbs on the 2015+ Edge are the low & high beams (base models), DRL, front signals & rear license plates. Here is a link the owners manual for the bulb specifications. Edited May 3, 2016 by omar302
candurin
And from the service manual link omar provided: Note: LED lamps are not serviceable. See an authorized dealer if they fail. They may all be sealed housings, which require you to either replace the entire assembly or you can find a way to cut it open and replace the LED that way. cv27
The OP's profile shows a 2016. If the lights are dead, just bring the rig back to the dealer.
Suresh Roopnarine
Thanks all. They aren't dead, just wanted to swap them out for "whiter" LED's but I can live without them.
