phils
Like everything about the 2016 Sport except the harsher ride. Is there any way to soften ride?
enigma-2
Smaller rims would help. (Wouldn't look as cool however).
Old Ray
Maybe try lower the air pressure in the tires a bit or install springs and struts from a non-sport model? My 2015 Ti rides very nice ......and yet I have ordered a 2016 sport and will live happy with the ride.
omar302
If you have the optional 21" wheels maybe try the 20" wheels instead like what enigma-2 suggested. Also with the 21" wheels you might have the summer tire option, which are sportier & hence I think would be harder.
Nick Halstead
Don't get a sport then. Suspension on anything sport related is going to be harsher
akirby
Sometimes they forget to lower the air pressure before delivery. The factory sets it high so the tires aren't as likely to flatspot during shipment. Our MKX with the 21" wheels were 4-5 psi too high on delivery and it does affect the ride.

So other than maybe posting in the wrong section, not that it is a big deal to me as I am still trying to understand a somewhat confusing site (but I'm old) .........you haven't said what size tires you have. I think that the 40 aspect ratio (is that the right word?) has a stiffer side wall than the 50 series tires.
luminator
Go figure I thought the suspension was a bit on the soft side still on the sport and wanted to tighten it up.

macbwt
Just a question. Can anyone tell me the exact difference in the suspension components and assembly between a 2016 Edge Sport and a 2016 Edge Limited/SEL/SE? Is there actually any difference? Different shocks? Different LCA's and struts? Or is SPORT merely a name? and a (more horse power) engine? Really is there a difference? Prove me wrong in the assumption that all levels do not use the same suspension components.

You can pretty easily do a search on a place like fordparts.com and see that there are different part numbers for shocks on a Sport.
phils
Thanks for the comments about my concern. All have been helpful. Unit does have the 20" inch wheels which was difficult for dealer to locate, Ford likes to add 21's because sticker rises another $900 plus.(more profit) I am becoming more accustomed to ride the more I drive. Will look at part numbers between Sport versus Limited .
akirby
The dealers order the 21" wheels, not Ford. If they're ordering more 21" wheels then customers are asking for more 21" wheels.

macbwt
You can pretty easily do a search on a place like fordparts.com and see that there are different part numbers for shocks on a Sport. Question is then WHAT is the difference between the two part numbers? Physical design to accommodate the larger wheels or a better firmer shock? In this case it is assumed the fit will be the same since the design has not changed. Interchangeable? between models?
