Chipster
I was wondering if I can use a more durable synthetic protective sealant / wax on my roof to help ward off the heavy UV attack that horizontal surfaces get over time. My last vehicle (a 20+ year old truck) looked great due to my efforts in keeping it tidy and waxed, but it did suffer some clear coat damage on its roof and hood. My Edge does not have any glass on top, so there is a lot of surface area up there and I would like not to re-wax it as frequently as the rest of the vehicle. Your approach / thoughts / suggestions? bill valley
I use Klasse AOI and SG on all of my vehicles and the Edge will be no exception. Great synthetic that will give you 6 months of protection. I am sure you could use this on the roof, but you may find it is so easy to work with that you will end up doing the whole car. tron1974
I would think any paint sealant would be fine with a wax on top. Both the sealant and the wax have UV protectors.
