Asi Yacobovitch
Hey, I've got a USB with hundreds of albums attached to Myford Touch, all mp3's and as far as I can tell, all got a correct tag (using TagEditor on Mac). For some weird reason, all (!) the tracks are in Alphabetic order and not by track number. How can I arrange it to play an album as intended to by played ? Cheers for your help. TheWizard
Your best bet is to create playlist files on the USB and select them in MFT - it will then play the tracks in the order they appear in the playlist.

Thanks for your quick answer but by this, I need to take my usb and every album I've got I need to create as a playlist ? That's $#@ ! Mind my language... There's got to be a practical solution. akirby
Based on a google search, I think the answer is it uses the ID3 Tag called "Track" to order the songs. If this tag is null or 0, then all bets are off, but it looks like SYNC then alphabetizes the songs according to the "Title" tag. And make sure Shuffle is off. TheWizard
My experience has been that the system ignores the track field in the MP3 tags. I expect the OP is finding the same thing because it would seem logical that the track number would be the controlling information yet it's not working for him. Creating playlists is a fairly simple process that can be mostly automated using freely available software. I use Playlist Creator 3.6.2 which allows drag-and-drop creation of playlists as well as creating playlists from folders.
