EspoMan
Hello guys. I got a 2013 Ford Edge. I've had several issues with this vehicle. Ranging from oil leaks, to power locks issues, and now my heater. My heater comes and goes. One day it works, another day it doesn't. It does blow air, but it's not hot at all. Sometimes it'll work for weeks with no problems and all of a sudden it stops being warm. Took it to the dealership twice and they can't figure it out. Have any of you had this problem? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Does the blower work consistently at all fan speeds? Checked the cabin air filter? Manual or automatic climate control? Coolant level checked? Should be at the FULL level when cold/at ambient.
EspoMan
Yes fan works fine on all speeds. Manual climate control. Coolant level is good. Haven't checked cabin filter yet. Thank you
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
After all of the above are verified ok ... In sequence, we'd be looking for a plugged/restricted heater core (check temp diff between inlet & outlet hoses once the engine has reached operating temp), then temperature blend door actuator, then various circuits for shorts, then the Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM), and finally the HVAC module.
