Nbayerl
I'm looking for help/advice. I have a 11 sport,50k miles. I've had problems with disappearing buttons on the touch screen since I bought it, I took it in to the dealership numerous times only to be told either; they did a update because mine was out of date,or they did a hard reset, or they could not replicate the problem. Fast forward 5 years and 6 mos, I had it back in dealership with video proof of the problems, the techs were blown away by the video proof as they had never seen that issue. According to them they were on the phone with Ford engineers all day going through all kinds of tests. Come to find out the apim is bad. My warranty expired Sept 2015,so now I'm on the hook for a $865 repair bill when the problem has been there all along. My question is has anyone had any luck dealing with Ford Customer service on something like this? I'm banging my head against the wall, this is a very common known problem, but I feel Ford is turning their back on me. Any suggestions welcome
omar302
Try to contact the official Ford IVT representative here on the forum & explain your issue. I guess it would really help if you have evidence of reporting the same issue while your car was still under warranty.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Try them @FordService on Twitter also if you don't get a response here. Sadly, there has been quite a dropoff in their visible presence on this forum.
