Is it safe to drive? my customers live 35 miles from town. Would my customers make it? Don't have money for tow. If the Edge is driving normally and it is a CHECK ENGINE light, then likelihood is yes, and of course, drive conservatively, with hazards on if need be. Check all fluid levels (as outlined in owner's manual), take note of any leaks/smells, etc before proceeding, sometimes it could just need some oil. They can get codes pulled for free from any major auto parts retailer like AutoZone, Advance Parts, etc. Definitely do not ignore it.
