mjonis
If my memory is correct, the 2016 Edge has Sync 3 and has Android auto support? If I am correct, is there anyone out there that has used AA yet? If so, which phones? I've got an old Galaxy S4. My main reason for wanting AA (or Carplay, as it's easier to switch phones than the Head Unit) is that I would like to be able to: a) Push a button somewhere and then tell the phone (or whatever) to "Play song" or "Play artist" and have it play the mp3/whatever from my phone. would also like to be able to tell it to then switch to say, iHeart Radio (vs. me having to take eyes off the road and either futz with the phone or the head unit to stop the currently playing music/mp3 player and then start the iHeart Radio app and all that garbage). c) Tell it an address and have it use Google Maps (or, if the nav abilities in the Edge are decent, use that) Is there any reviews/video samples of AA in the Edge? drw91
I think you have to have to be on Lollipop (Android 5+) to be able to use AA. Will have to upgrade Galaxy 4 (not sure it was meant to run this android version though).

Jonathan Lynch
Carplay is supposed to come out on the 2017 Escape sometime in May. I would assume an update will be available shortly after.
mjonis
Thanks for the info! Looks like with the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport getting tons of extra tech/features, and the price going up accordingly that my decision may be a little easier (LOL) come November. Carplay is supposed to come out on the 2017 Escape sometime in May. I would assume an update will be available shortly after.
