Anyone Installed XenonHids 55W, 6000K HIDs?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone installef XenonHids 55W, 6000k HIDDs? I installed a 9012 HID conversion kit in a 2014 Edge Ltd. The kit is 55W, 6000K, 9006 HIDs with pwr rly and capacitors. The pwr relay buzzes/vibrates when lights are off, OK when on. Sometimes hids will turn off whe switched on.I have capacitors Installed between pwr relay output and ballast power input. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have email in with XenonHids but no response yet.

Yes, I have daytime running lights (DRLs). Since my fist post/question, I have found out HIDs on a 2014 Edge with DRLs require Canbus ballasts to work properly (flickering and other issues) and deal with DRL issues. I have ordered 35 watt HIDs with Canbus ballasts (from a different vendor for reasons I will not mention in his forum). Also, I recommend using a dual or 2 power relays to power each 55 watt HID separately thus using both vehicle headlight connectors for HID manual on and off control. You may need capacitors/error canellers also. I won't address using automatic headlight control switch setting, as there are many issues I have read about. Once I install the HIDS on order, I will post my results.
