Bluetooth audio on gen 1

Recommended Posts

Was driving home from a day shopping, and thought I'd watch CNN and how the voting was going.

Flipped on CNN and as soon as the cell phone picked up CNN (linked to my cable supplier) the bluetooth linked with the head unit and the audio went silent on the phone. (Had live video, no sound.)

Apparently my audio is being channeled to bluetooth.

To pickup audio, I used the CNN feed on Sirius. But I would like to have the feed from the cell phone as there's a 30 second delay between the cable video feed and Sirius.

How do I get the audio feed from my cell (gen 1).

I hope you weren't driving and watching the video at the same time, but I digress......

So the phone is trying to send the audio to sync but sync isn't playing it?

Did you try un-pairing and re-pairing your phone?

I assume that sync is set to your phone as a bluetooth input source and you've checked the volume on both the phone and the vehicle.

The only thing I can think of is to try a master reset on sync and try rebooting your phone as well.

Okay, just figured it out. Had to go through the media button on the radio, select the bt source and audio.

Works, can now watch CNN (for example - actually have 32 channels, FX, Science, AMC, etc.) and the audio plays through the system.

Not that I would watch TV while driving but nice the have while waiting for wife while she shops. (Grunt)
