enigma-2
Was driving home from a day shopping, and thought I'd watch CNN and how the voting was going. Flipped on CNN and as soon as the cell phone picked up CNN (linked to my cable supplier) the bluetooth linked with the head unit and the audio went silent on the phone. (Had live video, no sound.) Apparently my audio is being channeled to bluetooth. To pickup audio, I used the CNN feed on Sirius. But I would like to have the feed from the cell phone as there's a 30 second delay between the cable video feed and Sirius. How do I get the audio feed from my cell (gen 1). akirby
There should be an option on the phone for the audio destination. Change it from sync back to phone.
enigma-2
Problem is, I also use the phone when in the car to connect to the radar detector. (Connects to the cloud and displays on map location of all police units running radar in a 50 (or wharever) mile radius. Phone tracts the detector and mirrors voice on overspeed, etc.
akirby
I guess I don't understand what you want it to do exactly.
enigma-2
The phone's audio is switched to the bluetooth port. The problem is, the car'Stadio is not playing this bluetooth audio. (I know I can switch it back and play it through the cell, but would rather play it through the car's audio system). Beginning to think that this can't be done on gen 1. akirby
I hope you weren't driving and watching the video at the same time, but I digress...... So the phone is trying to send the audio to sync but sync isn't playing it? Did you try un-pairing and re-pairing your phone? I assume that sync is set to your phone as a bluetooth input source and you've checked the volume on both the phone and the vehicle. The only thing I can think of is to try a master reset on sync and try rebooting your phone as well.
enigma-2
Okay, just figured it out. Had to go through the media button on the radio, select the bt source and audio. Works, can now watch CNN (for example - actually have 32 channels, FX, Science, AMC, etc.) and the audio plays through the system. Not that I would watch TV while driving but nice the have while waiting for wife while she shops. (Grunt)
enigma-2
If anyone else wants to expirment with this, first tune the cell phone to the cable channel, then press MEDIA and select bluetooth input. On the bluetooth screen, select bt audio. The cell phone must have its audio set to bluetooth and be connected to SYNC.
FordIVTteam
Hey enigma-2, Glad you figured it out! You can also do this by voice. Press the VOICE button (on the steering wheel) and say BLUETOOTH AUDIO. Hope this helps. Shaay
