BrewCrew6
I recently had my 2013 Ford Edge serviced. The service department said I need to replace the serpentine belt. I am the original owner and there are approximately 78,000 miles on the vehicle. I looked at the belt and observed no apparent cracks. Should I change the belt and approximately how many miles can the original belt go for?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Absolute replacement is 150,000 miles per the Ford guide. Inspections begin at 90,000 miles and every 30K thereafter. I'd get a second opinion to make sure, but with the Edge being in AZ, I can see the need for earlier than normal replacement interval.
