cdotson86
Hello All, I'm a new Edge owner. I just bought a 2013 SE with 44,000 miles. Other than the leather seats, it's pretty basic. Seems to ride very nice. However, I'm stumped and feel ignorant. How in the world do you fold the rear armrest down!? The manual pictures a latch just below the middle headrest, however there's no latch on mine. I can place my hand where the latch should be and feel a slight hollow area where it should be. I then thought that mine didn't come with it as an option, until I felt around the crevices and can feel the hard plastic where the cup holder should be. Also, ford list it as a standard option. Any ideas on how to fold it down? Google/Forum searches have failed me. Thanks in advance, Chris
candurin
Stick your fingers in the hollow and pull downwards. The entire "handle" is designed to slide towards the bottom seat. cdotson86
Thanks, you really have to push through the leather to hit the latch. What an awful design. At least it works! Thanks
omar302
The SE never comes with leather seats. It seems a previous owner installed leather seat covers & that's why you can't see the button to lower the center seat back (arm rest).
cdotson86
I thought that too, but they aren't covers. They're the actual upholstery attached to the foam, and they have the same exact same pattern as the leather seats in the upper model. Unless someone completely swapped the seats from an upper model, or had these reupholstered. But this was originally a lease vehicle, then I purchased it. I doubt any mods were done. I think it may have been a special order or something? Either way, I certainly enjoy it.
candurin
It could have been a fleet vehicle, in which case leather would have been an available option.
