omar302
I need help in the correct procedure for removing & installing the driver's door window run channel. It seems that there should be some adhesive applied, but not sure. This is the part I mean (number 3 in the diagram): http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/9t4z7821597b
omar302
The part number is the same from 2007 to 2014, so the procedure should nearly be the same. I'd like to know if it requires removing the door panel & glass or it can just be removed directly. Also, does it require some sort of sealant when installing the new one. Guess what I am trying to say, is it easy enough to do it myself or should I take it to the dealer.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
There is no mention of the window run part specifically being R&R'd in the factory manual, so I assume it isn't anything different from "standard" installations, and any body shop doing glasswork should know.
IWRBB
I've done it on my F150. All the door trim had to come off. The channel bolted to the door at the front and rear. The trick was to put the window down and it could move/slide forward and backwards in it's track giving you access to R&R the channel. It was much easier than I figured it would be.
