nlitend1
We tried to change the factory pin on the touch screen but it wont even recognize the factory pin. It does nothing. The factory pin does work in the pad to unlock the doors. I have a 2015 f150 and it works just as it should. Do you have to change it at the pad like the older fords? candurin
Page 76 of the owner's manual. But you should be able to do this from MFT as well: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux0ShZ91mWM Edited January 16, 2016 by candurin
Nick Halstead
the factory pin is not changeable, you can add your own personal codes but you can not change the factory code. Also make sure the door pad is turned on. I believe you can turn it off (honestly can't remember). Though if it doesn't light up when you press a button, it's not working. nlitend1
The pad works fine and I added our pin there, but it still does not allow to be changed at mft. Weird. Works in my truck just fine.
omar302
The MFT screen should allow changing of the user defined code. From my experience, if you selected to erase the user defined code on the MFT screen, you won't be able to enter a new user defined code. I don't remember exactly how I was then able to get it back, but I think it was after a Master Reset that MFT allowed me to enter the code again. The same "bug" is also present on the 2015 Expedition with MFT (tried it with version V3.7 installed).
Nick Halstead
If you erase the user code all you have to do is enter the oem code. The oem code cannot be changed and user codes only add an easier # to remember. The oem code is never erased.
