PFA
Yesterday, our TC and ABS light came on. The TC does not work now. For about the last 3 weeks, I have been hearing a noise in the front area, likely pass. side. It increases with speed. It has a bit of a growling noise, as if it was a tire noise. I rotated the tires about 1 1/2 weeks ago and the noise stayed. Now the TC goes out. I will be contacting the dealer Friday morning to take it in. Any ideas on what happened with the TC? The ABS seems to work although the light is on.
akirby
The 2 may be unrelated. ABS light is typically a wheel sensor but that doesn't usually make noise. Dealer should be able to diagnose and fix it easily.
PFA
Dealer got me in first thing Friday morning and checked it out. THey said they had to order a couple of ABS sensors, but was safe to drive....just no TC. It will take about a week to get them in. He also said that the noise I am hearing is related...we'll see. TheCanadian
The same thing happened to me. First the left ABS sensor broke and 2 weeks later the left. I had lot's of problem with my edge! Edited February 17, 2008 by TheCanadian
gearhead8
Recently my ABS / Traction Control / and wrengh light came on. Took it to the dealer the following day, as the traction control was coming on at low speeds for no apparent reason - a little unsettling to say the least. Apparently, a wheel sensor is bad. Replacement parts have to be ordered. One really good thing to say about my car... I brought the car home from the dealer just in time for a 12 inch snowfall this weekend in upstate ny.. this thing carved beautiful through some deep snow!
PFA
The "noise" I hear is a bad wheel bearing. I had my suspicion that it wasn't the sensors....but they told me different. It is in now to get it changed.
