Sub Trunk Pieces Loss

Recommended Posts

Hi,

For some strange reason, the idiot who owned this car before me had taken the panels surrounding the spare tire out and never fastened them back. Or maybe is was the dealership, who knows. I live in San Diego so I can only imagine why this could have been done. Obviously I took them out and thoroughly inspected underneath.

Question is this, can anyone identify exactly what kind of nuts that will fasten these back up? I attached pics.

i seriously dont think there are nuts that hold those down..they are supposed to be easily removable. i dont have nuts holding mine down and i know for fact they didnt come with nuts. they will not go anywhere.

They are just alignment pins. Not bolts. Those storage trays are made to be removed. They do not even move when in place and the rear deck lid is closed. I suppose if u wanted them bolted down you could install studs and secure them. I personally remove the one on the passenger side often to access my audio equipment. One holds my amplifier and it doesn't move at all. I suppose if I turned my car over they may move a bit, so if that is a concern I definitely suggest bolting them down.
