Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00.2.Check high pressure side and low pressure side with the key in the off position. With the key in the off position, the high side and low side pressures should read approximately the same pressure once the system has stabilized. 1.If high pressure side and low pressure side are below 200 kPa (29 PSI), proceed to Step 3. 2.If high pressure side and low pressure side are 200 kPa (29 PSI) or higher, this procedure does not apply. Refer to WSM, Section 412-00 for normal diagnosis. 3.Disconnect the evaporator inlet and outlet manifold line from the thermostatic expansion valve. Refer to the WSM, Section 412-00.4.Plug the evaporator inlet and outlet manifold line using a clean shipping cap and/or paper towel to prevent debris from entering the lines. (Figure 1)Figure 1 – 15-01455.Use 220 grit sandpaper to remove any burrs from the evaporator outlet (large diameter) manifold line. (Figure 2)Figure 2 – 15-0145 1.After removing any burrs from the line, use a clean dry microfiber cloth to remove any debris that may be left on the end of the line.6.Remove the paper towel and/or shipping cap from the evaporator inlet and outlet manifold line.7.Install new o-rings on the evaporator inlet and outlet manifold line.8.Reverse the removal procedure to reconnect the evaporator inlet and outlet manifold line.
