chicagoslick
No. We are assuming that we are hitting pot holes or curbs and pinching the sidewall since the rim is damaged at the failure. That's terrible. I had issues with my Fusion Titanium with the 19's, but after changing the same tire twice I figured out that the dealer was under inflating the tires. I can't recall, but I think the pressure is supposed to be 43psi and they were inflating my tires to 32psi. You may want to check and make sure they are properly inflated. I ordered my Edge Sport with the 21's and I hope I don't have issues, but with Indiana roads I will have to be super lucky...
akirby
The pressure on the sidewall is the MAX pressure not the recommended pressure. Fusion 19s are 35 or 37 - forgot exactly - but not 43. It's whatever is printed on the door jamb.

You could be right about the 37 as I cannot recall exact pressures realized at the time. The issue was under inflation though and one of the main reasons for the tire failures I had... Best of luck to the poster with their tire and rim issue...

Excelongt
The 21s on the Edge Sport are not black. They are a gunmetal grey and one of the best looking OEM wheels out there. I would not get an Edge Sport with out them. are pirellies the standard OEM tire on the 21" wheel? Thats very good to see
Nick Halstead
You're not gonna really a notice a difference when driving with a 21 or 20in rim. A 19 and 21 yeah. Personally I wanted the 21s and AWD but I wasnt waiting for one to get shipped to Hawaii.
