Nick Halstead
Light bleeding up is as strong and identical pattern as the stock h11 bulbs. No issues. You don't want bleeding with HIDs. You want a nice crisp cutoff

dave80
no issues for upcoming traffic, checked that already. Everyone in here seems like an expert in hid conversions kits I see. Nick Halstead
Thats because most people with any kind of lighting knowledge or anyone who has spent 15mins on hidplanet knows that no matter what you do, you will always have a shitty cutoff with HIDs in Halogen based lighting. You don't have to be a lighting expert to know that. Its simple. Halogen projectors gets halogen bulbs. HID projectors get HID bulbs LED projectors get LED bulbs. Mixing any of these setups doesn't achieve optimal lighting. I'd love to see your cutoff 50ft from a wall.
Nick Halstead
This is Stock Sport lighting, decent for OEM but I'd gladly toss these projectors in the trash for a retrofit upgrade. Ā The left is cut pretty nice so it doesn't bother oncoming traffic. Ā The Mission and agenda...to get like this!
dave80
I do have a nice cut off with no extra lights bleeding up and looking for helicopters. And yes I've been on candlepower forum for years and this isn't my first hid kit on a ford. 2014 Ford Explorer had no issues either.
Nick Halstead
Your side by side pic shows light bleeding you should have none with HID. Yes your lighting is better than your halogens. Halogen projectors are more forgiving with HIDS than most halogen lighting. Your cutoff is going to be horrid. No way your getting a decent cutoff running the wrong bulbs. I'm opposed to putting the wrong bulbs with the wrong housings. For about $500. You could get a decent HID retrofit and having nicer light output than my factory HIDs
dave80
Cut off from about 20 feet.
Nick Halstead
Cut off from about 20 feet. That looks horrible. You shouldnt have such prominent hotspots with HID. The objective is to evenly spread the light not focus it on 2 direct spots. Granted thats something you can't fix without swapping to a HID projector.
dave80
It's fine, it will never be a true hid system....we know.
