Brucifer
Where does everyone get their replacement keys for the DIY programming? EBay is always a favorite, but somewhat risky to getting the correct fob/blank. I know there are remote replacement websites, but I'm a cheap bastard. omar302
EBay. Just make sure the remote is compatible with your Edges year & that it looks like your old key/fob. Matching the fcc number is an added safety check.

enigma-2
There are Ford dealers that sell at discount on ebay. You will pay more than the importers, but you will know your getting OEM. That's the route I used to buy 2 extra keys. Had them cut at local Ford parts office, he said he would not cut if they were not OEM. (They came in original OEM packaging). He also said he could not cut the new laser-cut keys. There is only one locksmith in the area who has the machine (supposedly costs thousands), and they have to send out the keys. So if you have a new Edge which has the multiple sided laser cut keys, expect to spend a hundred bucks or more, just to get it cut!
candurin
I've had these for quite some time now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351261924649 Had them cut at lowes for free and they work perfectly. I've got a post in this forum that walks you through programming the key and fob yourself. Look and work exactly like OEM. I should add these are for 2011-2014. Does the 2015 edge use a new fancy key? I can't see which model year the OP is referring to on the mobile site.
oachs83
Candurin will those ebay keys work with a two way oem remote start? Also your link goes to a pair of F series keys which ebay says not compatible. Is it just because it does not have the hatch door open feature on the key? I don't have a motorized hatch so will the F series key still work? Thanks. Edited January 5, 2016 by oachs83
candurin
No. The IKT fobs will not replace bi-directional fobs. You can use these on your vehicle but you will loose 2/3rds of your range as well as indicator feature from the bi-directional fob. I don't have the power liftgate either and this is they key I have been using. What are you trying to buy?
oachs83
I bought the key you posted but and was told on Ebay it was compatible. Ford was able to program it but can't get any of the buttons on the key to work. So it is programmed to the car at least so My bi-directional remote start does work. candurin
I bought the key you posted but and was told on Ebay it was compatible. Ford was able to program it but can't get any of the buttons on the key to work. So it is programmed to the car at least so My bi-directional remote start does work. Try this to program the IKT fobs... Procedure: 1.Close all doors, then open drivers door and press the Unlock button on drivers door while it is open, insert key into ignition. 2.Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 8 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (if the door locks do not cycle, then it was done incorrectly. You must start over by removing key and beginning from step 1) (Off is the position where you can remove your key, RUN is the position just shy of starting your car.) 3.Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5. 4.Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remotes. 5.Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
