cab2g
The 2016 Edge has two new blues. Is the Kona blue the same one that the mustang has/had? I can't seem to find any pictures of Too Good to be Blue at all. What does that look like in real life???
akirby
Kona blue should be the same as other vehicles. Too good to be blue appears to be a really dark blue - navy or slightly darker. Only saw a smalll sample on a fleet guide PDF so take that with a grain of salt. punch-card
Allure Blue in Lincoln https://www.acttestpanels.com/uploads/documents/Certified_Ford_Color_Form.pdf Too Good to be Blue (Allure Blue) M7347
knickerbocker
Allure/Too Good Blue looks like a lighter, baby-ish blue. Definitely farther away from Navy Blue than Kona Blue. I've seen Mustangs in Kona Blue and that'll be my choice for my Edge.
akirby
This is Allure blue on the MKX. It is not a lighter baby-ish blue.

akirby
It's a lot lighter in the sunlight on a real car. I like it. Still not sure if TGTBB is the same color though. Edit: It does appear to be the same paint code (LC). Edited October 13, 2015 by akirby
ruyehara47
I was banking on my 16 Sport being tux black. Now I'm scrambling for a new color. That TGTBB looks grey-blue in the videos and the Kona blue doesn't really sparkle. So trying to decide between ruby red or bronze fire. 5% of me want to get get that Electric Spice. cab2g
Too Good To Be Blue looks pretty classy!!! Kona Blue looks pretty dark in person from what I remember seeing. If I had to pick a blue, I think i'd personally like driving in a Too Good to be Blue Edge... hmm.

goatee
My 2011 Limited is Kona Blue, it is a darker blue and is the same as on the Mustang. After the 2011 model year they went with the deep impact blue.

chicagoslick
I looked at some MKX's recently and the Allure Blue was a great color. It is more greyish blue than a true blue. I was hoping for a softer blue like Blue Candy on the Fiesta or Nitrous Blue on the Focus RS. I have a 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch and it is done in Bronze Fire with Caribou Accent. Very nice color scheme. I would have chosen that color but did not want 2 vehicles with the same color choice. You must see Bronze Fire in person to appreciate. I hope in the end I will be happy with Electric Spice.
knickerbocker
Kona Blue is apparently not available in Canada. And the Titanium doesn't come with pano roof either. The 51D Driver's Package is also 'late availability' again. Why even call it a new model year when the only difference seems to be Sync3 and a couple thousand $$ more? akirby
Why even call it a new model year when the only difference seems to be Sync3 and a couple thousand $$ more? Legal requirements. They can't build 2015s after January 1st.
chicagoslick
"The 51D Driver's Package is also 'late availability' again." Is this due to the adaptive cruise control? If so, that will suck because they will do that same thing with option 63A on the Sport.
knickerbocker
"The 51D Driver's Package is also 'late availability' again." Looks like 51D might only be 'late availability' in Canada.
chicagoslick
Looks like 51D might only be 'late availability' in Canada. That sucks for you guy's in Canada. Hopefully there are no set backs for U.S... Not real sure why this is so difficult to implement. They already have numerous cars with it installed. My Fusion and my F150 both have adaptive cruise with lane departure and collision avoidance.
cab2g
Oh no, I just reviewed the order guide and you cannot order the Cognac interior with the Too Good to be Blue color! I don't understand! that would be the best and most classy combination.... For some reason you can order it with Bronze Fire, but I have seen both the cognac and Bronze fire in person and they don't really seem to belong together. I am so disappointed. So is my wife. Now she doesn't know what to order. Edited October 16, 2015 by cab2g
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Maybe a friendly dealer can swap out the seats for you, might have to paint any remaining "matching" plastic parts though?
cab2g
Maybe a friendly dealer can swap out the seats for you, might have to paint any remaining "matching" plastic parts though? Or maybe the merciful Ford Gods will change the order guide to allow that combination to be ordered???? one can only hope!
knickerbocker
I give, I give! Saw an Allure Blue MKX the other night. Ooooh does it look classy at night. Going to finalise my 2016 Order soon, and may end up going with TGTB Blue after all. Now should I go with 301 or 302 package? Pano roof or roof rails?
