timh@rose.net
The extended warranty on the APIM is actually 5 years for MyFord Touch & 6 years for MyLicoln Touch, regardless of mileage. Does this - APIM - apply to second owner (2012 model)? Also, we purchased to extend for 4 years coverage with a Ford program (they have 4 offerings; we purchased the second best). The CSM I am working with FAILED to point that out!!! She confirmed my concern that a 2011 model (purchased in 2010) was coming to end of the base 4 with my 1 yr extended warranty.& there is an unresolved problems. When I expressed my frustration of the apim issues she NEVER mention the 6 years. Again to my point of not getting good service!!!

Attached is the letter clearly stating 5 years for Ford vehicles & six years for Lincoln vehicles, it also clearly states the warranty is automatically transferred to subsequent owners. timh@rose.net
Just a final not about navigation. Had a 4 day trip to Jacksonville Beach. We used many of the features of the system and did not notice any problems. I like it. Getting better with the voice commands but sometimes it takes a second attempt. So unless something goes down hill, a nice mapping system that works well if updated and confirmed.
