27Sport
I noticed that the '16 Explorer is available with Smart Charging USB ports in the rear of the center console for 2nd row passengers. SInce this is more useful for my kids to charge their electronics than the standard 12v oulet, I decided to see if I could install one in my '15 Edge. I found a wrecked '16 Explorer online and had them send me the whole rear panel. I used the outlet cover, USB cords and the power inverter. Only had to connect 12v and ground and used the existing wires from the 12v plug I replaced. Just had to use a dremel to make the outlet cover fit. Took about 30 min total.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Do you have any pics of the outlet before installation? So I can get an idea of the form factor, included circuitry, etc? TIA.
