Eric Jonathan
Recent owner of a loaded 15 Edge SEL AWD. I got the equipment package with the My Ford Touch and "9 speaker premium sound" but it does not have the SONY logo. What speakers are these? Does anyone know? I have not been that impressed with them so far and one has already blown on me within 2 weeks. Either way my best bet may be to look at after-market speakers. Other than that the car has been awesome.
akirby
They could be made by any number of suppliers but they're usually not great quality. They shouldn't blow though. Infinity and JBL and Polk Audio are all good replacement options.
jstall7543
The stereo in the edge is designed just for the passengers and to not destroy your hearing at the same time. It won't impress anyone out side the vehicle. I wouldn't bother with aftermarket unless you do amp's too. Believe me in my other car I'm used to 135+dB system so in my 13 edge sport I just keep it to a low roar and if I detect any distortion I turn it down a notch or two. I also fade to the rear -2 clicks and turn off surround for music. If you swap everything I would go jbl as I like the natural sound they produce. bigsecret
I wouldn't be disappointed if you didn't get the Sony system. My 2015 Sport has it and it is the one major disappointment. I don't care for high powered over hyped bass and tweeter. But, this system is REALLY boring. Maybe you got lucky and got a different, better system. PrinzII
Also look at Morel, Focal, and JL Audio for aftermarket speakers. The JL Audio C3 is the best bang for the buck.
jeloremo
Mine is a 2015 Sport and the audio system does not impressed me at all. I think i am gonna have to go shopping for audio soon.
