PaulSchott
132,327, 2007 & 110,798, 2008 gas tanks to be replaced? Grand total of 243,125. Oh yeah, how many are still on the road? I imagine most still are if they haven't been hit or had a gas tank fire lol. Actually it would be interesting to know how many are still out there. I can account for 1 2007

(23,000 in Q1 40,000 in Q2, Full launch was towards end of Q1) 2016 - 81,550 to end of July (on track for 132,000+) All figures courtesy of LeftLane.com visit them for full monthly breakdown Comments to the right are my own. In comparison, the Lincoln MKX sells about 23,000 a year, doesn't seem to matter what they do, its just consistent. http://left-lane.com/us-car-sales-data/ford/ford-edge/
junehhan
I suspect the Edge faces some difficulty because it is inbetween the big classes which are the compact SUV and the 3 row midsize SUV classes. Not bad numberwise, but not a lot of potential to grow.

MLTEdge
Sales of Edges have been strong. Recent reports showing them outselling other brands, Mercedes, Toyota.... Part may be lower price, part may be simply more available, no way to know. Brand loyalty has been through the roof though. Even I came back after a lemon. It was one of the most comfortable suvs I ever owned or drove. While Ford admitted closing plant, they are introducing a new one in China, believe based on the Explorer platform. Rumors are now surfacing they may offer in other countries later, including US. Problem is, changing the size and platform makes it a different vehicle, and probably more in the price range of the explorers. Don't think it will be successful competing against the third row for slightly less. People like it the way it was designed, mostly its crossover size and on a car platform. Very solid performer all around.
