chanadian85
Recently changed my 22s back in April of this year. The place I purchased them from had a really hard time balancing the tires, it was to the point where I actually went somewhere else because I was fed up. The new place rebalanced and things were fine...until I rotated them last weekend after 6000 miles. When I am turning left from 60mph and up, there is a vibration. The vibration only occurs when turning left and can be felt a little in the steering wheel but I notice it more in my seat. My Edge has AWD and 60k miles. Something tells me maybe this isn't a wheel balance issue. What I do know is this vibration started after I replaced my original tires back in April. Thoughts? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Could just be a bad wheel/tire combo, became obvious when that rear tire got moved to active duty in the front. Hopefully you can get a re-alignment/balancing for free? The Paradas are quality tires, but there could be a dud once in a while. 22" OEM wheels have been known to crack, so I would have them inspected very closely. Or could be a driveshaft bearing issue that happens to coincide with the tire purchase/rotation.
enigma-2
I would suspect a broken belt. Some tires don't like changing the direction they rotate. Way to check is to rotate tires front to back and see if vibration changes.
macbwt
22's might look sharp and nice, but all show and no go. I will stick with the 18's for durability and comfort.
chanadian85
Update...Brought it back to the tire shop where I purchased. They rebalanced yet again, for the 4th time...Vibration went away which is good... They said the rims aren't bent, the car wasn't pulling but I had them do an alignment since its never been done. So all is good....for now. Curious to see what happens when I get them rotated in 6,000 miles... Side note, any tips on removing the gunk where the old weights were placed inside the rim? I have a lot of it now!
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Something like Goo Gone or 3M Adhesive Remover should work well. I'd say try acetone/nail polish remover first, if you wanted to, always using a test spot
enigma-2
With all that adhesive, probably throw the balance off again LOL.
