fletcher
I am having a problem filling up my 2011 Edge with gas. It will only fill the gas tube (about a gallon) and then shut off. I then have to wait about 30 seconds before I can fill another gallon. It takes forever to fill up the car. After some searching on the internet it looks like this could be a block in the fuel vent. Does anyone know where this vent line is so I could try to clear it, or does anyone have any other ideas as to what the problem is? Thanks for any help. fletcher
Check the vent hole look for mud dobbers or even other insects etc. Do you know where this hole is? I didn't see any hole around the gas cap area.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Someone had posted that there are a few small holes around the gas filler neck. Blowing compressed air into these holes should blow out the vent tube. If it doesn't seem to be a lasting solution, you could get underneath the vehicle, disconnect the coupler and blow it out from there. Info below is for a 2007 Edge, hopefully the 2011 is similar: Item Part Number Description 1 — Evaporative emission (EVAP) outlet tube-to-purge valve quick connect coupling (part of 9S284) 2 9D661A EVAP emission purge valve output tube 3 — Fresh air tube-to-vent tube quick connect coupling (part of 9S284) 4 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 5 9S284 Fuel supply tube 6 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 7 W707137 Bundle retainer clip nut 8 9S284 Fresh air tube 9 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 10 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 11 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 12 W707137 Bundle retainer clip nut 13 — Fuel vapor tube assembly-to-EVAP canister quick connect coupling (part of 9S284) 14 — EVAP purge valve outlet-to-EVAP canister quick connect coupling (part of 9S284) 15 — Fuel tank supply tube-to-fuel supply tube quick connect coupling (part of 9324) 16 9324 Fuel tank supply tube 17 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 18 9S284 Fuel vapor tube assembly 19 — Fuel tank supply tube-to-fuel pump module quick connect coupling (part of 9324) 20 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 21 — Fuel vapor tube assembly-to-fuel tank quick connect coupling (part of 9S284) 22 9F931 Bundle retainer clip 23 9G611 Fuel tank pressure transducer (FTPT) (part of 9S284) Disconnect the fresh air tube-to-vent hose quick connect coupling. stomalewski
Hi guys First off, I am chasing a PO452 DTC on a 07 Edge and I am down to this tube assembly which for an 07 Edge is a 9T4Z-9S284-A. There are different part numbers used for various years but this one seems good for 2007 - 2009. This thread is over a year old and I want to know about the FTPT on the 9S284. WWWPerfA_ZNOW posted above that the part number for the FTPT was 9G611 which is part of the 9T4Z-9S284-A tube bundle and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know if the is the correct part number (or even complete part number)? These tube assemblies are horrendously expensive when all that may need to be replaced is the FTPT. Thanks
