Jon54
I'm more than anal with my vehicles. I keep them clean, park away from everyone else and do all servicing before its due. Well, in addition to being anal, I'm a dunce. I ran against a curb this weekend and buggered up the chrome clad wheel on the front right. Per the dealer, a replacement wheel retails for just over $1,400 but he could let me have it just over $900. For that price, I could buy new aftermarket rims, sell my 3 as new factory rims and at least break even. I know nothing about buying rims. I believe mine are 20". What brands should I consider. The only one I know about are American Racing. If I'm going to plop down $1,000, I want something from a reputable manufacturer and could even appreciate some specific suggestions on wheels. My son just bought a '15 Edge Platinum and I like his rims a lot. Thanks in advance, Jon Tennessee
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
There is a classifieds listing for wheels, if you are interested in that. Chrome clad covers CAN be removed http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13714-chrome-clad-covers-can-be-removed/ if you think you like the "after" look, you can go that route. You could also fit 2010+ Taurus SHO or MKS or Explorer 20" wheels on your Edge. Make sure the center bore on the wheels is the same. There are many reputable vendors in the "truck" wheel business, KMC is a popular one. TSW wheels are also great choices. If you search on "new wheels" on this site you will see what people have chosen as aftermarket replacements. You can gaze at endless wonder here: http://www.carid.com/2013-ford-edge-limited-wheels/ I like to sort by highest ratings/lowest price etc. But I am partial to Foose Outkast because they look kinda like the 2013+ Taurus SHO wheels Edited August 5, 2015 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
miller1651
I was just in the same boat. I had a scuffed wheel and it was going to be $940 to replace! I ended up buying a full set of aftermarket wheels for the same price. I'd suggest going to discounttiredirect.com. You can enter in the vehicle and it'll show you what fits...and you can see what a lot of them look like. I ended up buying from carid.com,but will never do business with them again.
