jbouler
my wife took her edge to the dealer due to A/C issues. after doing a diagnostic it was told to us that both the left and right actuators are bad. I am unsure of the location of both blend doors but have been told that it is a pretty easy fix if i can find them. anyone have any ideas as to the location of these? I know on some vehicles one is behind the glove compartment, other than that i'm not sure where to look. thanks for any info.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
These are called "Mode Door Actuators" in the FSM. On the 2007, there are two, one accessible from the glove compartment, and one in the driver footwell area of the center console. Mode Door Actuator — Air Inlet Door (Glove compartment) Mode Door Actuator — Defrost/Panel/Floor Door
jbouler
thanks.....i'm hoping these are them. i've gotta look at it as soon as i get back from work. all i know is, the dealership said it's the left and right acuators. she was having hot air on the passengers side and rear of the vehicle and on the drivers side it was cold. she tried to change the temp but the temp stayed the same. hopefully it will be an easy fix. PittsburghEdge
I just replaced the driver side door actuator with Auto Zone after market part. My 2013 Edge SEL AWD was blowing hot air on driver side, cold air on passenger side. After researching all of the forums, I used the 2008 Edge diagram to determine that the driver side actuator is under the driver side, screwed to the right side of the foot well. Hard to get to, but only 3 Phillips head screws to remove, replace. Didn't need to replace the linkage, don't replace if you don't have to. Use a long Phillips screw driver after removing the lower dash panel which had 2 socket screws. Takes time, but happy the part only cost $60 instead of $120 plus labor from dealer.
Kaf1775
Having the same issues with my 2013 Edge. Can you let me know which aftermarket part you bought at autozone to replace? I see a few on there, just not sure which one to go with.

BrianGsc
Is this where the module where green plug plugs in on the driver side. I have unplugged a couple times now for a quick fix that lasts a few weeks but it keep going out. Guess it’s time to replace!
Med1974
My A/C is barely blowing any air and sometimes not at all. I’ve tried looking in the glovebox for the actuator, but don’t know what it looks like. Can anyone help me with what I’m supposed to be looking for
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
You should first check to make sure the blower motor is working and not obstructed in any way. Same with the cabin air screen/filter. Common to get outside debris stuck in there over the years and jam it up. Easily seen after you remove the cabin air screen/filter. vtchopperdude
A few weeks ago we started having issues with our air conditioning. When I turn the heat all the way up, the driver side blows cold and the passenger side blows somewhat hot. Is that an issue with just the driver side, or both?
