if you catch yourself saying...

 

"I'm going for a ride in the Edge" instead of "I'm going for a ride in the car"

 

OR

 

"Let's take the Edge" instead of "Let's take the car"

 

I find myself referring to my vehicle as if it were a "type" of vehicle.

 

Just wondering if its just me... or has anyone caught themselves in a change in the speech pattern.

We've been having our Edge for 2 weeks now and we've never referred to it as a car. We always call it "The Edge". Such a cool name for a ride. :shades:

I always have the old habit of saying, "we can take mine". tho I guess if I was married they would both technically be mine/ours. so I may have to change that someday. I think "let's take THE EDGE" definitely works!

When we are deciding which car to take it's usually because we are all going somewhere. We refer to Daddy's car (the EDGE) or Mommies car (Fusion). Any who....
