carcondo
Went to pick up some closet doors this morning - 8 feet long but with my fold flat passenger seat should be no problem. Except...........the single rear seat is behind the front passenger seat and it wasn't wide enough to get the doors in. So had to fold down both parts of the rear seat................which left nowhere for the wife! Why wasn't the wider part put on the passenger side? Must go now, she's waiting at Home Depot cheers, Andy Edited January 19, 2008 by carcondo
tiaquessa
OMG!!! I was just thinking the same thing today! I went to Lowes to p/u some closet shelves, and found it would have been MUCH better to have the right side seat be the 60% instead of the left. bpdunsta
I just went out and checked my Honda Pilot....it's the same. 60% on driver's side, 40% on passenger. This certainly does seem backwards, but, rest assured, it's not only Ford doing it! Edited January 19, 2008 by bpdunsta
tiaquessa
Yeah, you know, the more I think about this, the more it irritates me. Is there an engineering thing we're missing? If not, I really think Ford, and other makers should switch them around.
