STB130 Posted February 26, 2017 Report Share Posted February 26, 2017 Easy way to lower Sport is do change tires to lower profile and recalibrate speedometer with tuner device, eg 245/30ZR20 90W XL 182780 10.2 25.83 9.76 8.0-(8.5)-9.0 Nitto NT555 will lower Sport by 2 inches 29.8 vs 25.83. Have you guys seen those aweful looking Chevy S10's back in the old days in rough neighborhoods running around with really small almost Matchbox toy car like tires on it? It looks goofy and lost. The right way to do it is the lower it properly using a proper kit. Just understand that it could void some warranties. It also changes the suspension geometry and can cause CV joint, halfshaft, and transmission related issues depending on how much variation the stock drivetrain can tolerate. KLinNBC Posted March 6, 2017 Report Share Posted March 6, 2017 According to a dealer here in the PNW the AirLift Performance front and rears for the MKZ/Fusion AWD will fit the Gen2 Edge Sport. as they all share the CD4 platform and multilink rear. I am likely going this route as it's the best of both worlds: I can ride low for the summer and press a button to get OE ride height for the winter. Downside is near $3000 for the struts and V2 control as well as the loss of a spare to install the reservoir. A lot more than springs but infinitely more versatile. Message him for price, I will say that the Fusion is not a direct bolt on and does require custom work. I've talked to Aaron a lot since he started the SEMA build. Probably be a month or two before they come in. You mentioned the one side rear took you 5 hours. Why? The fronts shouldn't be that bad if the strut mount bolts are accessible.
