PChiu
My wife's co-worker has a 2008 Edge (Canada) There have been 3 incidence of “stuck/frozen” shift gear. When she starts her car in the morning, she can’t shift from P to R or D, she now finds out if she warms up for 10 minutes, it will work again. She told the dealer and they don’t think it is a general problem. She made sure she pressed down the brake pedal already . Anyone has this problems ? Thanks PChiu

akirby
I'd say it's probably the brake pedal interlock that's preventing it from being taken out of park. Probably just a simple sensor. Tell them to try pressing really hard on the brake pedal. I think there is also an emergency release documented in the owner's manual, just in case.
