garrett62
Has anyone added a bug deflector to their new Edge? If so, what brand did you use as Ford does not have one out yet. Thanks
WingNut
Are bug deflector's made to keep bugs off the edge of the hood and windshield? Because with the front end of the Edge, bugs will still be all over the grill, bumper, etc.
garrett62
I think it is most usefull for preventing stones on the road from hitting the front of your hood and chipping the paint. I have utilized these on previous suv/minivans and they have worked great. But correct, they do nothing for stopping all of the dead bugs in the grill. Maybe "stone deflector" would be a better name! cds71
I had a custom 3M clear bra pro installed on my 2015 Sport.....it protects the entire front end, side rocker panels and mirrors.

I believe it also changes the areodynamics slightly to help lessen the likelihood of those bugs and debris from hitting the windshield. garrett62
CDS71, Can I ask what you paid for the 3M Clear bra? Thanks
cds71
No not at all....it's a custom job. For 3m clear bra pro...with self healing was 700. That was the entire front end 22 inches up the hood. Looks virtually seamless and undetectable....and has a lifetime warranty. ....both product and application. I can post A PIC if you want to see what it looks like. Edited June 23, 2015 by cds71
garrett62
Received an online quote for $850 for partial hood, side mirrors, bumper and partial fenders. $650 if you skip the bumper.

cds71
Sorry it took so long to upload. As you can see, the clear bra is almost seamless....I was very happy with the final product.....I really like the self-healing function.
