raginpitbull
While attending the Motor Trend Auto Show here in Phoenix in November, someone at the Ford booth approached me to see if I would like to schedule a test drive of any Ford vehicle for a $75 gift card. I said absolutely and scheduled a test drive of an Edge at my local dealer. My wife is so in love the the car that I was going to buy one even without the test drive, but after taking it for a spin, I'm convinced it's the right vehicle. Coming from a performance motorcycle background, I have a good idea of how stuff should work and came away impressed with the Edge. It was fast enough, road firm (which is how I like it) and handled well enough for a vehicle of it's type. I came away most impressed on how the brakes felt. I guess just about anything with four wheel disks will feel better than the disk/drum set up of my '85 El Camino. But the Edge's brakes gave excellent feedback in my opinion. Close to that of a motorcycle, though not even close in power.
CorporateEdge
Glad you liked it and now you can use the certificate at the parts counter to buy a bug deflector or rear cargo tray for your new Edge ! I assume it was a ford certificate versus one from a retailer right ? Several posts question the top end (power?) on the Edge which seems to be limited by either a govenor or aerodynamics (or both!). Its got enough get up and go for me and if you like putting your foot down you better have the wallet to support its drinking habit. Welcome to the club and have fun picking the colour and options. raginpitbull
No, believe it or not, it was a Visa Gift Card available for use anywhere Visa is accepted! Wife already spent the $75! Looks like Copper, Triple White and Vapor are the front runners...
