mcali6301
Just traded in for the 11 Sport and I'm very impressed with the added power. Just to confirm, I have the (265/40/22) wheels. I came from the SEL (245/60/18) One weird thing I noticed, the steering is a little funny. When I switch lanes or I'm holding on minor curve, I can feel some minor pulling the other way. I haven't yet been able to tell if it's when going to left or right yet, I've had the car for less than a week. I already had to take it in because the right front strut was busted, they replaced it and did an alignment so it may just be normal but I'm wondering, is this a typical characteristic of the size of wheels? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Sounds like some damage is yet to be revealed. Are the wheels checked to be straight and true? Ditto for tires. Maybe even brakes (can you believe it!). http://www.aa1car.com/library/steerpul.htm http://www.agcoauto.com/content/news/p2_articleid/
mcali6301
As far as I know they were aligned if that is what you mean. The car was sold to me as cert pre-owned WITH a busted strut, the same service dept that did the repair so I don't have too much confidence in them. BTW, the tires are new, perhaps they just need to wear in? Keep in mind the pull never occurs when going strait, only when on a curve or switching lanes is when I notice it. I'll take a look at the links.. Think I may just wait till next maintenance to bring it up. I'll just continue going to my regular dealer as with my previous car. TRMN8TR
The pull you're feeling is normal, it's because you're riding on a much wider tire. I noticed the same thing when I went from my SEL to the Sport, you'll adjust. My Cobra was much worse

omar302
There was a TSB for the Drif/Pull issue. Attached a copy. TSB 10-24-8 Drift Pull.pdf
mcali6301
Thanks for that input! I'm noticing that the steering wheel gently pulls to the right a little when I accelerate then it eases off when I take my foot off of the pedal. Torque steer would be best description. It's so minor that I think I will wait till next oil change to bring it up unless there someone thinks this can potentially spiral into something worse. I'm still under the extended warranty so not too worried...
mcali6301
I'll still bring this up during the next maintenance, I'm already getting used to it. The more I drive this car, the more I realize how standard a 3.7 @ 305 should be for a car this heavy but then again for better fuel economy I can understand why only the sport version comes equipped the way it does. I'm happy with the upgrade overall. How has everyone else's experience been?
edgesportguy
I liked my 2013 Sport so much I that I actually bought a used 2013 Sport just like it when it was time to turn in my lease. I've always owned sport coupes and was dreading getting an SUV 3 years ago. I and drove most of the mid-sized SUV's on the market and the 3.7 in the Sport had the best acceleration and handling of everything I drove, though I really liked the Infiniti FX37's power too, but it was too small and too pricey. I drove the Edge Sport and fell in love with it. The power, handling, panoramic roof, cargo space (especially the fact that all the seats including the front passenger seat fold flat) and the mean black grill & 22's sealed the deal. My only complaint is that the brake rotors seem to warp really easily - a rental, my leased one, a demo loaner, and my most current one have warped front rotors and drifted a bit. Of course since I can never leave anything alone, my solution was the StopTech Evolution rotor & pad kit - along with H&R lowering springs, new struts and after market wheels. The Pirelli's were pretty shot and I had 2 curbed wheels and I was able to replace them with a 20" Verde & Yokohama combination for the same price as new tires and repairing the wheel. Love the result!! Even better acceleration since the new wheel/tire combo is 7lbs lighter per wheel (less rotational mass) No more drift so far, no brake pulsation, more stopping power, lower stance, handles great and looks great!!
