Chris Purvis
Greetings, Can anyone explain how the headlight bulb is changed on a 2013 Edge SEL. (Driver's side) If you know of a video, that would be great. I did find one video, but the car in question is not the same as mine and didn't help. I went to my local Walmart and Canadian tire to see if they stocked the part and neither did. I did find it at a nearby part's store for $38. I also called Ford to see what they wanted for the part/installation. They want $58 for the part, and they say they might have to remove my bumper to replace it, which would be an hour's labour. (Another $100) If I can do this and save $100, that'd be great. Prior to my call to ford, I thought this was supposed to be a pretty simple procedure, but now I'm not so sure. Hoping for some feedback. Note that I have very little experience working on cars, so it'll have to be an easy job for me to do it. Thanks! normcloutier
Remove the dust cap from the rear of the headlight housing. Turn counterclockwise. Remove bulb housing from headlight assembly. Turn counterclockwise. Using gloves so you do not get oil from your hands on bulbs, replace lamp. Insert bulb housing. Install dust cap.
