Craigtaz
Has anyone attempted to replace the OE vanity mirror light bulbs with LED’s? I’m not sure if the lens cap can be easily removed and Dan of Drive Bright doesn’t stock LED’s for them. My wife has a habit of leaving the mirror open, which of course leaves the light on. She killed two batteries in our last car before I replaced the lights with LED’s. No dead batteries after that.
PrinzII
I replaced the bulbs in the vanity mirrors with LEDs. However, I got them from VLEDs. The issue I noticed is that the light doesn't disperse as well as the regular bulb because there is nothing to reflect the light behind the bulb.

Is there a trick to removing the lens cover?
PrinzII
Actually, it's pretty easy. When I did mine, I used a small flathead screwdriver to pry it off.
normcloutier
Keep in mind that incandescent light will be easier on your eyes when looking into the mirror. LED will be brighter and whiter but not so friendly.

Paul Webster
I replaced the stock bulbs with LEDs. I like the effect. No problems with brightness.
