redlancer
Looks reasonable to me for a vehicle that Ford doesn't sell with a hitch option. Any noticeable effect to the hands-free on the lift gate? -SJ

built2prfctn
What will you be towing? I feel like its going to be super low to the ground and the trailer will be on a downward slant.

WingNut
Thanks. Same here. If I get my truck done in time I will be going to PA next weekend with the ski. Lake Wally Sounds like a good time. When I lived up in Michigan, we had jet skis and would be using them all summer long. Once I moved to this area, it was impossible to keep them. Storage was an issue and very costly. Plus access was not as easy. So now I just paddle my canoe around
alzakx
Natem91, did they had to run wiring to the hood of the car for the harness? Or was the wiring already there from the factory? It looks pretty good. You could maybe try to cover up the wiring harness cables with electric tape.
Natem91
I an not sure on the wiring, but I will crawl under and let u know. I will post pics tomorrow of it hooked to the ski, it isn't too low, it is perfect
Natem91
Pulled with it today and no issues. I found sport mode does work best.
Adam403
Thinking about doing this to mine. But I wasn't sure if anyone has any idea about warranty. Like you I will be pulling a single motorcycle and trailer (hardly much weight at all).

Like you I will be pulling a single motorcycle and trailer (hardly much weight at all). It won't void your warranty. And if they try to say it does, they have to prove how adding a hitch resulted in whatever issue you are currently having.

Shouldn't be too bad of an install.
Silverbane
Did you have a chance to look at the wiring harness? Is it plug and play or from the front?
Natem91
It went up into the taillight assembly, so I assume it is plug and play
Adam403
ordered my hitch and curt connector tonight. I'll post up once the stuff arrives and the ease of install.
built2prfctn
ordered my hitch and curt connector tonight. I'll post up once the stuff arrives and the ease of install. Did you get the same part number as Natem?
Adam403
Did you get the same part number as Natem? Yes, got the hitch and harness from curt. The part numbers are 13224 for the hitch, and 56272 for the harness. Was $200 shipped (Canadian). Pretty good deal! I was thinking about going with the hidden hitch but it actually looks like the curt is covered more.
