blankster
From today's News: The No. 2 U.S. automaker said it is recalling 518,313 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans from model years 2013-2015 and Ford Edge crossover vehicle from 2015 model year because steering gear motor attachment bolts may break due to corrosion. cab2g
lol, you'd think they'd have had wind of the impending recall a couple months ago before they started shipping the 15s... I mean they are a large corporation and I'm sure it took awhile to even finalize the paperwork for the recall...
rwf78155
bolts from a 2015 corroding ? Sounds like the GMC Canyon that was recalled before it even went on sale
Magnetic Edge
bolts from a 2015 corroding ? Sounds like the GMC Canyon that was recalled before it even went on sale There is a potential for the bolts to corrode in the future. Sounds like the bolt supplier didn't apply the correct protective coating. For the '15 Edge its limited to production over 3 days from Feb 26-28. The other model lines are also a small production window. Edited April 29, 2015 by Magnetic Edge
WingNut
I'd rather get a bunch of recalls then just ignoring issues

tron1974
Just checked and it doesn't look like mine was part of the recall. Ford Edge vehicles built between February 26, 2015 and February 28, 2015 at the Oakville Assembly Plant You can call Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 to check your VIN. trsundstrom
Judging by those dates, those builds I am guessing were part of the inital test production run parked deep in the lot for post-production evaluation and inspection. My special order was placed January 2, it was not scheduled until the last week of March, and the build date was April 17. Just a guess, though. The site http://etis.ford.com should eventually tell all.
